Ideals are tested in the rain.
You know, like: park far away from the store. I say this all the time. It’s good for the heart. Let the little old ladies park close in. The pregnant women with little kids.
But, ugh, it’s really really cold and rainy and windy tonight. Besides being uncomfortable, that’s bad for my hair. I just have to hope I don’t see anyone I know.

I'd like to think that someday, at least some person in the world that I don't know - and never will know - will say to themselves, "Thank God for that person." I'll never hear the words and I'll never see the smile, but that, that little slender hope of a thought, is enough for me.
I, for one, will keep parking in the back (if I should ever be found driving again, that is), and keep returning the carts to the front of the store, at least until I can do something bigger and better than these.

"...I say you stood up wonderfully against the tempations of better hair..."
That's what used to be called a back-handed compliment :-))))))))))
